Eggbert the cat quickly captured hearts when his photo graced the adoptable pets page of an Ohio animal shelter. Remarkably, within a single day, this charming feline found a new home, showcasing his irresistible appeal.
However, Eggbert is no ordinary cat. He’s exceptional in more ways than one. Beyond his infectious personality, what truly sets apart this handsome tabby is his unique appearance. Eggbert was born with a distinctive condition – he lacks one eye and one nostril. Despite these physical differences, the Fairfield Area Humane Society in Lancaster, Ohio, emphasizes that Eggbert’s spirits remain undaunted, and he fully embraces the joys of life. This extraordinary cat, with his lovable nature and enchanting charm, serves as a reminder that beauty transcends physical forms.

Lovebug Finds a Home Swiftly
It’s no surprise that Eggbert found his family so quickly! Not only is he handsome, but his bio on the Fairfield Area Humane Society’s Facebook page portrayed two-year-old Eggbert as an “absolute angel of a kitty.”
As the Fairfield shelter shared, “He was born missing an eye and a nostril but aside from snoring like a chainsaw, it doesn’t slow him down a bit!”

“He loves to give headbutts, have his chin scratched, and follow you around like a baby duck.”
Fairfield also disclosed that Eggbert had encountered occasional seizures in the past. However, under their care, he had not experienced any. The shelter stated that they would collaborate closely with his adopter to continue monitoring him and providing treatment for epilepsy if necessary.
Eggbert sounds absolutely purrfect, and that’s exactly what cat mom Holly Starr thought when she spotted this special cat on Facebook. She knew Eggbert was destined to be part of her family right away. Additionally, she believed her kitty Lark, a one-eyed cutie also adopted from Fairfield, would adore him too.
Fairfield agreed, commenting, “They would be great friends.”

Holly told Newsweek, “I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the animals with special needs, I want to make sure they have a loving home where they get all the attention they can handle.”
